"freeze players in ice" meaning there will be ice blocks where the player is, causing suffocating damage?

Yes beo, the poll is to determine if we want to revert the new frostbreath to the one that causes suffocation when you try and break out of it. (The ice block)

i had to ask someone to freeze me cuz i wasnt getting a straight answer. i like the new one, the suffocation dmg was a pain in the ass

i thought he tweaked it so there were no blocks in the players position, but still blocks to break out of

idk if he tweaked it to fix the suffocation or not, but even without the suffocation (since it's real ice) when you break the ice block you get stuck in water. Not to mention the fact that by the time you do you've probably lost most of your health to icewall or other moves that avatars like to use for that spicy insta-kill

It's impossible to balance this game around both casual and experienced players. Half the people like being op and not having to try, half can only enjoy it if things are fair and take effort. That line's pretty split.

I agree lol but idk how so many people pour countless hours into something without wanting to get better at it. To each their own ig

a lot of people voting no don't use water often. frostbreath sucks now and it was useful for waterbenders :/ It helps waterbenders also bend a little on land too and plus there's so many moves way more op than this so.. and the people voting no know they use those moves. and it's hard for waterbenders to counter airbenders on land so the old frostbreath was useful in a lot of ways and made it fair. it wasn't fair when people would freeze people with frostbreath and then use chi and stuff but now there's a lot of changes and waterbenders ESPECIALLY people like me who don't have another element to use would really like it if we had the old frostbreath.

Old frostbreath is in no way "fair", nor is it a good move to have in your kit if you want to improve your waterbending

Surge and torrent can still freeze people. You shouldnt rely on frostbreath just cuz your aim needs improvement

I love how waterbenders are complaining about us "not looking from their perspective" while they don't try to look from ours.

My vote is honestly entirely situational. It depends on if the weirdness with frost breath gets fixed or not. And phan, since I'm 98% certain that you are not aware yet I'll put them here.

    - The freeze would cause suffocation damage.
    - Ice that was broken would turn into water rather than disappearing.
    - It could not be heat controlled or phasechanged away.
    - Ice walls can be made on top of them, further suffocating the poor soul trapped within and the ice walls' intended damage on top of that.
    - and last but certainly not least, a lot of moves hit through its ice.

If these things are resolved, I don't mind getting the freeze back. But if they stay I'm going to vote against it.

Poll seems to just be a divide between long time semi-comp players and avatars. I wouldn't mind it so much if just the old-frostbreathers were more vocal and participated in the dialog with counterpoints, rather than silence, to all the points being made against it.

The multiple threads on this have just been: (Point for old frostbreath) > (Reason why that point is invalid + Multiple points against old frostbreath) > (Silence)

I’m sorry but no one will use Frostbreath the way it is right now. It’s useless and is a real disappointment from what it was before. it’s old /b h intended for it to freeze people. It makes no sense the way it is right now.

can’t we have it just freeze one entity at a time???
And make it heat control and phasechange make it go away?
